Here we go.
I appreciate you coming on this journey with me. You can expect a short blurb at least once a week on this page that will give little tips, or provide information, regarding mental health. I like to believe we live in a time where mental health is known to be as important as physical health. I know that sometimes that is not true. We feel like we have to “push through.” Today’s offering is just a little bit about taking care of yourself. We will revisit this frequently, I think.
We live in difficult times. I think we can all agree on that. Because of this, it has become so much more important to pay attention to well-being. This includes your mental health. In the midst of taking care of all our responsibilities and all the people in our lives, it is easy to miss taking care of yourself. Sometimes it is necessary to slow down and engage in activities that reinvigorate you. It is ok and even necessary to allocate some of your time to a favorite hobby or physical activity or creative outlet or just relaxation (Can we still get massages?). For some it is watching a favorite movie or show (though not binging it) or reading a book. I would encourage each of you to spend at least 20 minutes a day on an activity that relaxes, rejuvenates, and rallies your spirit.
